Borzoi Club of Delaware Valley, inc.

 
 

Founded in 1974, BCDV is a group of borzoi breeders, owners and fanciers in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area with members in southeastern Pennsylvania, south & central New Jersey. While membership is unrestricted as to residence, the Borzoi Club of Delaware Valley, Inc., has as a primary purpose, to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area.


The objects of the Club shall be:


to encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Borzoi and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only Standard of Excellence by which Borzoi shall be judged.

to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials.

to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

to conduct, independently or in conjunction with other breed or all-breed clubs, lure coursing trials under the rules of the American Sighthound Field Association.
